About Robert DeGroot, M.Ed., D.C.H. LPC, DAPA
Dr. Robert (Bob) DeGroot is an author, counselor, consultant and trainer with over 30 years experience in the fields of psychology, hypnosis, and sales.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Master of Education in School Psychology from Texas State University and a Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy.
He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Texas) and holds Diplomate status in the American Psychotherapy Association.
In addition to his book, Psychology for Successful Selling, (Branden Publishing Company, 1988), he has written articles for several industry magazines, as well as authored over 70 training programs.
He is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Psychological Association – Psychological Associates Division and he has been recognized for his accomplishments in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who Among Human Services Providers and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

What started as writing and recording a hypnosis script for weight loss so that my wife, a few friends and I could lose weight, turned into a much larger project. As word spread about the successes we were having using the hypnosis CD, more and more people started asking for it, and at the same time we began to more formally gather data to learn what was working and what was not working. The many contributions by those in the Beta test groups continue to help shape the program. As you join with us in this effort to make weight loss permanent, we would appreciate your feedback. To this end, from time-to-time we will send a request by email to ask specific questions and to use the feedback form on the central links page inside the secure area of the Web site.
